Our Story
Our story begins in 1999, when our founder, Dr Ruwan Wathugala established Royal Cashew in Kirindiwita, Gampaha, Sri Lanka, where our manufacturing facility still remains today. Since then, Royal Cashew has grown into a group of three private limited liability companies – Green Way Asia Lanka, Trust Lanka Suppliers and Royal Food Marketing – and now operates two manufacturing facilities.
Since then, our founder’s passion for cashew has guided and transformed Royal Cashew into Sri Lanka’s largest, most sustainable and ethical processor and exporter of cashew nuts and cashew nut products. Presently, Royal Cashew is enjoyed by cashew lovers in over 15 countries including the USA, UK, Australia, Malaysia, Japan, New Zealand and Switzerland.

Each delicious cashew nut in our products is handpicked by over 10,000 local community farmers, who practice sustainable farming. Ethical sourcing is part of our core ethos at Royal Cashew as we believe that each member of our value chains should be treated fairly and benefit equally. All our cashew nuts and cashew nut products are of 100% Sri Lankan origin and we use only natural ingredients, traditional techniques and modern technology to process and prepare these handpicked delights, for life’s moments that matter.
