Established in 2004, Neptune commenced it’s publishing with two information guide books to serve the discerning expatriate consumers and travelers of local and foreign. Since then the company has evolved to publish many valuable titles which has been catered to academics, foreign readers who are interested in anthropology, archaeology, history, social science, and politics. Since 2015, the company decided to enter into other genres to cater a wide audience.

Throughout the past 18 years the dynamic members of the company who are full timers as well as part time publishing professionals including editors and illustrators have contributed for much needed research work to find the readership rends and their demand. Such contributions have an enormous importance to the company to establish the name as what it is today.

Beyond the conventional book production and marketing Neptune was successful in newer ways and means to production and marketing thanks to the new developments in technology. The team closely connected to Neptune has a culture that to promote reading with a view to develop the society with well-read and knowledgeable people in all walks of life.

Neptune has collaborated with Good Reads Lanka to create, produce, and promote books with AR Technology, E-Books, and Audio books. The aim of the Neptune Good Reads team is to develop the book reading culture amalgamating new technological tools, especially focusing children and youth.
