The Colombo Academy of Hospitality Management (CAHM), Sri Lanka’s largest hotel school, is a joint venture between William Angliss Institute (WAI), Australia. Based in the SLIIT campus in Malabe, we are a dedicated centre for Hospitality, Tourism, Foods and Events. William Angliss has a proud history of over 80 years, and in our Melbourne campus we annually have over 22,000 local clients and students, and 1,800 international students from over 60 countries with more than 100,000 graduates worldwide.
The teachers at William Angliss Institute @ SLIIT are from the Hospitality Industry, both local and international. Their expertise vary from Hospitality Management, Bar Operations, Administration, Finance…etc., the Academy is visited by several guest lecturers across the year from WAI, Melbourne where the students gain knowledge about coffee, wine and culinary arts. Our training facilities include a well-equipped training kitchen, including a functioning in-house restaurant. Our courses are designed with industry needs in mind, and work to ensure that our graduates are ‘Career Ready’.

in the last weekI am currently a Certificate III Semester 2 in Patisserie student at Colombo Academy of Hospitality Management, and my experience here has been nothing short of amazing. The academy has played a significant role in my growth, providing not only high-quality training but also hands-on experience that has truly refined my skills. One of the best aspects of studying here is the opportunity to participate in special events, where we are called to assist. These experiences go beyond the classroom, giving us real-world exposure and preparing us for the industry. a week agoI'm currently enrolled in the Certificate IV in Patisserie at the Colombo Academy of Hospitality Management (CAHM), and I've gained a wealth of knowledge in the patisserie field. The Patisserie kitchen at CAHM is truly exceptional, especially for beginners. It provides a well-equipped learning environment with modern appliances, allowing students to develop practical skills using industry-standard tools and techniques. I highly recommend this Patisserie course to anyone passionate about baking.

a week agoI had the pleasure of studying at the Colombo Academy of Hospitality Management (CAHM), which partners with William Angliss in Melbourne, Australia, and I can't recommend it enough! I successfully completed my Certificate III & IV in Commercial Cookery in 2021, and the experience was transformative. During my studies, I developed a deep passion for the Patisserie unit. Unfortunately, at the time, CAHM didn’t offer a Patisserie course, so I decided to continue my studies at the Culinary Arts Academy in Switzerland to further pursue my passion. When I visited CAHM’s newly built campus during a holiday in Sri Lanka, I was beyond impressed by the significant improvements to the facilities. The new campus is stunning, and it’s clear that CAHM has invested heavily in providing the best resources and infrastructure for its students. The current students are incredibly fortunate to have access to such world-class facilities. Overall, CAHM offers a top-notch education in hospitality management, and it’s an institution I highly recommend for anyone looking to build a career in the industry. a week agoI’m a Level 2 Patisserie student persuing certificate 3 in pattissarie at the Colombo Academy of Hospitality Management, and I’m currently doing my industrial training at Finagle Lanka Private Limited. They provide so many facilities and their kitchen facilities are exeptional and equipped with modern equipments which facilites us to gain hands on experience. The faculty is exceptional, offering practical guidance that has been crucial to my development. The academy’s hands-on approach and strong industry partnerships have given me invaluable experience that has boosted my confidence and skillset.
