a month agoI’m writing this review after a full interior customization project I recently did for my Land Cruiser 101 at Edirisinghe Cushion Works, which cost me a total of Rs. 1,064,000. The job included leather seat upholstery, floor carpeting, a complete sound system upgrade, a new steering wheel with multifunction, and interior cleaning. Let me begin by saying this their customer care is outstanding. The staff is very friendly, and Mr. Edirisinghe himself is a humble and respectful gentleman. He even personally responded to my complaint and offered to redo the poor-quality work, which shows he genuinely cares about customer satisfaction. However, good manners alone can’t justify poor craftsmanship, especially for the amount I paid. 1. Leather Seat Upholstery The seats were done with artificial leather, which looked decent at first but was very uncomfortable too grippy, causing friction with clothes. Within just 6 months, the seats faded and started peeling off. Later, I found out they had stopped using this material due to complaints, but never informed me beforehand. I only discovered this when one of the supervisors let it slip during a conversation. Mr. Edirisinghe did offer to redo the work with genuine leather at a discounted rate, which was a fair gesture but by then, I had lost trust in the quality of their work. 2. Floor Carpeting The carpets were poorly aligned. I literally had to lift them just to close the doors. For a premium job, this level of negligence is unacceptable. 3. Sound System Installation I opted for an Infinity sound system with Pioneer setup and a subwoofer. The system randomly disconnects, and after a few weeks, I had to take it to another place to redo the wiring as the original setup was unreliable. 4. Multifunction Steering Wheel The steering wheel was installed in two phases. Even after the second visit, it still doesn’t work properly. Clearly, not tested or finished with care. 5. Interior Cleaning They charged me Rs. 30,000 for an interior cleanup. When I got the vehicle back, it was still full of dust. Honestly, I don’t know what they cleaned for that price. Edirisinghe Cushion Works may have once had a good reputation, but based on my experience, they are now more focused on profit than quality. They might still treat customers well, but the execution, attention to detail, and post-service reliability are lacking. I drove all the way from Mahiyangana to Pasyala (175km) to get this work done, expecting excellence. Sadly, I was disappointed. If you’re planning to get high-quality interior work done, I strongly recommend exploring other options. This place might have been great in the past, but today, it’s just not worth the risk or the price.

2 months agoI just finished a full interior upgrade on my Nissan Patrol Y61. It was a three-week project where we went all out—came up with a custom theme, did complete sound deadening, painted the panels to match the colors, added extra cushioning to the seats for comfort, hydro-dipped a few panels, padded the center console, wrapped the steering wheel, upholstered the doors, and sorted out a bunch of small details too. They assigned a coordinator to the project who was great—kept me in the loop, involved me in the design decisions, and even handled a few changes I asked for midway through. Best part? They delivered the vehicle ahead of schedule. Of course, something like this isn’t cheap—it uses high-quality materials and skilled workmanship, plus the reputation of Edirisinghe Cushions adds to the value. But like Benjamin Franklin said, “The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.” Couldn’t agree more.

2 months agoExpensive but quality work. Customer care should be improved because the person attended to me was not guided me very well when choosing designs(Another person of staff had a better knowledge rather than one who attended to my job). Also they don’t deliver on promised time. But quality is top notch even though the prices are 2x.

2 months agoThe customer service is excellent; however, the prices are quite high, possibly reflecting their brand value. It is possible to find another supplier that offers premium quality at a slightly lower cost for normal work
